July 14 - 0.0

I woke up with every intention of getting ready and back on the trail. Sky's dad cooked us bacon and eggs. It was quite tasty. After breakfast, we all piled into Sky's car and drive back towards Hanover. We stopped at an EMS outfitter where I decided to buy some new shoes. The ones I had were falling apart so I figured I would sent them back to Cabelas for a refund of some type.

Once in Hanover, we ate lunch at the Jewel of India. The three of us who had been hiking were all craving Indian food. Samurai said his book mentioned that they had a buffet. We figured that would be perfect them. We got there and were told the buffet is only on Sundays. We ate there anyway. For dessert, we walked down to a Ben & Jerrys. Sky went to go move his car and met us there. During the walk we were joking around about how we should take a zero. We were still on schedule and plus we had done the 5 miles that we were supposed to do that day into town the night before. We finalized the decision to stay and then ran it by Sky when he arrived to make sure it would be ok to stay with his family another night.

B&J hit the spot. We went to another outfitter and then the post office. I had to pick up three packages. When I walked outside I discovered Sky getting a message from a street vendor. The guy was working by donations so Samurai and I got one too. It was probably the best message I have had. Inferno opted out. We were right outside a theater and it looked pretty tempting. So we caught the Toy Story 3 in 3D matinee. The movie was pretty good.

On the way back to the car, we stopped and got a free slice of pizza at a local pizza joint. They offer that for thru hikers. We then headed back to Sky's house and watched Avatar. That made for another late night before going to bed.

Today was also my Nanny's 86th birthday. Happy Birthday to her!
