Is this 911 worthy?

I wasn't sure if I was even going to make it to the trail after a scary event this week. Justin, my PML, and I decided to take a "leave the office" lunch on Wednesday. While driving up I-75, Justin's Pathfinder decided to break down. Not only did it break down, it broke down in the HOV lane. As we were unable to make it across the 5 or 6 lanes to the right, Justin pulled off to the left. He looks over at me and asked, "Is this 911 worthy." With cars and huge buses only a foot or so away, I definitely think it was 911 worthy. In the end, a state trooper pulled over, reversed down the interstate, and ended up getting behind us. To see a state trooper freaking out about people not pulling over does not help the cause of me thinking we are going to get taken out at any second. A wrecker ended up showing up in time, and got us out of the way. Many thanks to that guy.

The next morning at work, I was asked if I would be able to push back my sabbatical until March 22nd. The reason being was to work on a 3 week engagement, starting March 1st. I mean, I am all about doing what is best for my company and job, but come on, did you really ask me to postpone my sabbatical three weeks before I am starting? I'll definitely be willing to work the two weeks leading up to my last day, but I already have travel plans and certain towns I have to be to by particular days (My brother's wedding is one of them). I've already postponed a week's vacation before for work, and have been willing to change other PTO days here and there. That comes with this type of work. Plus, I am probably one of the few employees, just my assumption, who scores a 5 (1 to 5 scale) on the Work/Life Balance survey every year saying we do a great job allowing employees to take vacation. We are given 25 days a year and the option to take a sabbatical. That is amazing and unheard of in most industries. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be able make this journey without the support of my company, and I thank them for that.
